Nadi Astrology for Foreign Travel and Settlement: Houses, Purpose, and Return

“Will I go abroad?” is not one complete question. A short trip, a course overseas, a temporary work assignment, a permanent move, and a plan to return home involve different decisions. This chart-based Nadi method begins by naming which one you are actually considering.

That distinction protects against a common shortcut. A travel indication is not automatically a settlement indication, and a period away from home is not a promise of emigration. A useful reading starts with the real decision in front of you and keeps visa rules, finances, admissions, employment terms, family needs, and your own judgment in view.

The travel framework begins with 3-9-12. The third house covers movement away from the familiar and shorter journeys; the ninth covers long journeys and foreign travel; and the twelfth covers distance from home and a place away from the motherland. Together they form the basic movement pattern.

In this method, Saturn, Rahu, Ketu, and Sun receive special attention as separative planets when 3-9-12 repeats. But no planet is used as a quick answer. The reader still checks its house position and lordship, nakshatra lord, and sub-lord, then asks whether the same combination is active in the timing period.

A travel combination needs a purpose combination beside it. Study travel adds 2-4-5-9-11; a job assignment adds 2-6-10-11; business travel adds 2-7-10-11; tourism adds the fifth house; a conference adds 3-11; and pilgrimage is read through 3-12 or 9-12 with Jupiter or Venus. For settlement abroad, the method looks for 3-9-12 repeating strongly in the relevant planets while 2-4-11, the home-and-return pattern, appears in fewer of them. This is an interpretive structure for study, not a substitute for immigration eligibility or a claim that someone must relocate.

A responsible reading also asks what “settlement” means to the person: a multi-year programme, a work visa, a family move, a permanent residence process, or simply uncertainty about a long stay. Those are materially different paths. The chart can add perspective; the practical decision requires evidence and planning.

A return-home question uses 2-4-11. The second is linked with family, the fourth with home or motherland, and the eleventh with fulfilment of the return. The reader checks this combination in the Dasa-Bhukti-Antar sequence after understanding the earlier travel pattern.

The seventh house is considered when the route or purpose of a journey changes. A delayed or altered plan can have ordinary causes such as an offer change, a visa condition, a revised itinerary, or a personal decision. The method should never replace those facts with a sweeping chart claim.

The Dasa is assessed first, then Bhukti, then Antar. Each period lord must support the travel, settlement, or return combination through its planet, nakshatra, and sub-lord. Only after those layers agree does the reader study transits of relevant significators, relevant houses, natal degrees, or house cusps for narrower timing context.

This sequence matters because a transit alone cannot grant admission, a visa, a job offer, or a move. It is more useful to treat timing as a prompt for preparation: check documents, deadlines, budget, housing, obligations, and the conversations needed to make a thoughtful decision.

Bring accurate birth details, the purpose of the proposed journey, the possible destination or type of move, the timeframe, and the decision you are weighing. Then the reader can identify whether 3-9-12, the purpose combination, or 2-4-11 is central to the question before checking the chart layers and active period.
